Below are the planned events for the whole group in Pack 28. In addition, each child is part of a Den that has its own set of activities throughout the year. Check with the Den leaders for your child’s grade on the Contact Us page for more information.
Bobcat Ceremony: October 19th
All scouts are encouraged to attend and siblings are welcome! This is a special ceremony when new scouts (all grade levels) are welcomed into the Pack – we have a special torch ceremony, cat’s eye hunt in the woods, bonfire and s’mores. Any scouts who wants to campout may do so with one of their parents in attendance (no exceptions can be made on this).
Service Event: November 16th
Broomball at Watts: December 6th
All family members welcome. We have the small ice rink to ourselves and the party room for pizza and hot chocolate! Pinewood Derby kits are passed out at this event as well.
Pinewood Derby Workshop: January 16th, 5:30-7:30
Work on your pinewood derby car at Rosenthal Manufacturing
Pinewood Derby: February 1st (Check-in/ Registration on January 31st)
Blue and Gold Night: February 29th
Takiff Center: Scouts should come dressed in their uniforms, brag vests, neckerchief & sliders, etc.At this dinner, each Scout will receive the patch for their new Rank!
Scouting For Food: March 7th and March 14th, 10-12pm
This is a nationwide Boy Scouts of America event – we do not choose the date, it is determined by BSA. Food and cash donations are accepted and then donated to the New Trier Food Pantry.
Spring Skokie Lagoons Clean Up: April TBD
Spring Campout at The Little House of Glencoe: May 2nd RESCHEDULED TO CAMP-in: MAY 6th

Summer Events – NEIC Twilight Camp – Dates TBD
This is a NEIC camp – it is an excellent opportunity for the boys to be able to take advantage of the quality camps offered by the NEIC – and it’s in our backyard! Crow Island Woods, Winnetka (This is not an overnight camp, although it is offered over the course of 2 or 3 days. You can attend one or all days, parent chaperones must be in attendance with a ratio of 1 to 5 scouts.)
